Monika Jaśko

Intro

Monika Jaśko is a child speech therapist from Warsaw, Poland. The goal of this website was to showcase the Monika’s professioanlism, services she provides and give visitors an easy and covenient way to contact with her.

Design

One of the key features of the design was the Hero section which was designed to capture the attention of visitors and provide them with an understanding of what the website was all about. It also encouraged them to book an appointment or read more details about the services offered.

To make the design even more engaging, I used the Text rotation animation in the main heading. This involved changing one word to another, from “Let’s build child’s SPEECH together” to “Let’s build child’s FUTURE together”. This helped to keep visitors engaged and interested in the content on the page.

After completing the Hero section design, I proceeded to create a section dedicated to Monika’s personal information. This section, titled “About Me,” features a brief but comprehensive description of Monika’s interests, educational background, and notable achievements. To showcase her awards and accolades, I incorporated a dynamic running line animation that seamlessly moves from right to left, highlighting all the significant milestones she has achieved throughout her professional career.

The next sections are created to showcase the services offered, and feature a convenient button that enables users to quickly book their preferred service. Additionally, there is a responsive table that displays a comprehensive list of all the services offered, along with their corresponding prices.

In the last section of the website, which is known as ‘Contacts’, visitors are provided with the important contact information of Monika’s office. This section also includes a contact form, which can be used by visitors to book an appointment with Monika. Once the form is submitted, the details are directly sent to Monika’s business email address for further communication and coordination.

Summary

It was my first real-world project as a professional web developer, and it was a thrilling experience! The project is a simple yet elegant website that was developed using vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - without any external frameworks or libraries. I incorporated a number of features to enhance the user experience, such as lazy loading for images, animations triggered on scroll, and a custom integration of the form into Gmail. Thanks to these optimizations, the website scored a perfect 100 on Google Lighthouse - a testament to the quality of my work!

While it may not always be the topmost priority, it is a best practice to optimize the website's speed during the development process. As a developer, I adhere to a set of guidelines that aid in achieving rapid loading speeds for every project undertaken.

SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a critical aspect of web development that can significantly impact a website's success. As a developer, I take responsibility for the initial setup of SEO and making sure the website is ready for further ongoing SEO. While the process of achieving good SEO results, such as indexing on the top of search results, can take time, my expertise enables me to establish a solid foundation for the website's future success.

Responsiveness

In the today's world, more than 53%(and growing) of web users worldwide access the web through mobile devices. In light of this, it is important for every website to be mobile-friendly and responsive. To this end, I adhere to the mobile-first approach in the development process, ensuring that websites are designed and developed to perform smoothly on all devices and screen sizes.
